Summer Goth Glam

It's Monday Again!
I hope everyone had an eventful weekend. I did get out on Friday night with "bae" to go and visit a popular spot in Harlem (RED ROOSTER).
I was dying to wear this new lip from MAC Cosmetics called "Matte Royal" so I wanted the ensemble to reflect the boldness of the lip choice.
I know this isn't "summery" but I still feel like you can rock this look in any season.

MOTD: Neutrals on Fleek

 Good Morning!
I'm happy to have made it to HUMP DAY. I've been so exhausted this week.
To brighten my day a bit, I decided to amp my regular neutral look with a bit of smokey-ness

Let's get into the thick of it. WHAT DID I USE??

Firstly, I lightened my brows a bit for a less harsh look.
What do you think? Can you tell?

FACE PREP
My moisturizer has been making me oily lately so I opted out and went right in with primer
No7 Beautifully Matte Primer
Wet N Wild Fergie Collection Eyeshadow Primer (regular formula) on brows and under eyes
Wet N Wild Fergie Collection Eyeshadow Shimmer Primer on lids

FACE
Lacome Teinte Idole Foundation "450 Suede N"
MAC ProLongWear Concealer "NC42"
MAC "Soft Yellow" Select Loose Powder to set concealer
IMAN "Sable" Blush for contouring
NARS "Taj Mahal" Blush
NARS "Albatross" Blush (for highlighting)
MAC MSFN "Medium Deep" to set foundation

EYES
MAC "Bronze" eyeshadow (lid)
IMAN "Sable" Blush (transition/crease color)
NARS "Nightstar" eyeshadow (brow bone)
NARS "Albatross" blush (tear duct)
NARS "Mekong" eyeshadow (outer v)
MAC "Blacktrack" Fluid Line (top liner)
MAC "Twinks" eyeshadow (bottom lash line)
MAC Extended Play GigaBlack Lash (mascara)
BSS Lashes #213 (NO NAME BRAND)
Maybelline Define A Brow  "Medium Brown" (brows)

LIPS
I outlined and filled my lip most of the way with MAC "StripDown" Lip Pencil and then layered MAC "Tanarama" lipstick on top

If you wanted to amp this look up even more, you could add Black Liner to the water line and smoke out the bottom lash line with a darker shadow. And darken the outer third of the eye with a black shadow. Though this is alot of makeup for some, I think it is still day time wearable.

What do you think? Could you see yourself ROCKING this to your job??

As always, All Comments and Feedback are welcome.
Thank you for stopping by and MUCH LOVE!

The Perfect Midi Skirt

Cropped sweater| MACY's  Printed Midi Skirt| SYM's  Boots| DIBA

GOOD MORNING LOVIES!!!
I hope everyone is feeling great this a.m. I'm not a morning person but I've learned to be cheerful since I have to be up anyway!
So let's talk about Midi Skirts. I LOVE THEM!!!!! They are flattering and very feminine and flirty. They can either be uber casual or super dressy.

The skirt I have on today isn't new to my wardrobe. I got it some years back at SYM's Warehouse in Miami, FL. They now are out of business. The quality of the stuff you would find there was amazing and it was major designers for half the price. The print and detailing is what stood out to me along with the style. The material is like a felt cotton combination. Very warm and cozy feeling.

Though I couldn't find an exact replica for you guys, I did find similar style skirts.

LET'S TALK MAKEUP

Today, I tested out a new foundation routine. I wanted a more natural blended look on the face so I altered the steps to achieve that. Bare with me while I try to explain how I achieved this flawless look. The explanations are in the order of which I performed the task.

FACE PREP
I first prepped my skin with ESTEE LAUDER Illuminating Perfecting Primer
I then primed my brows and under my eyes with BLACK RADIANCE Eyeshadow Primer

FACE
I concealed under my eyes, under my brows, middle of forehead, center of chin and down the middle of my nose with MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC42) and ESTEE LAUDER Brush On Glow (Medium Deep).
I blended them both out with my beauty blender sponge.
I then brushed on MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NC50/NW45) around the perimeter of my face (forehead, temples, underneath my cheek bones, sides of nose).
Next, I used my foundation MAC Prolongwear (NC44) all over to blend the harsh lines of the highlight and contour.
I set everything with my pressed powder, MAC MSFN (Dark Golden).
I then bronzed my face with BLACK RADIANCE Bronze Glow Pressed Powder
BLUSH: MAC (Pinch Me)
POWDER TO SET CONCEALER: MAC Beauty Powder (Natural) from the Maleficent Collection
SHIMMER: MAC IEDSF (Whisper of Gilt)

EYES
ANATASIA BEVERLY HILLS: AMREZY PALETTE
Morocco on lid, Caramel in crease
NYC Liquid Liner
MAC Haute and Naughty Too Black Mascara on top lashes only
MAYBELLINE: Define a Brow

LIPS
MAC Lip Pencil (Beet)
TOO FACED MELTED Lipstick (Fuschia)

If you try these styles or looks, make sure you let me know or email me photos!!! I would love to see your style and interpretations!

As always, thank you for reading my blog and until next post.
XOXO!!!!!

The Pink Navy

Peplum Top & Pencil Skirt Separates| NY & CO
Navy Flower| NY&Co
Navy Suede and Leather Pumps| 9W

Today's look encompasses some of my favorite elements. My huge flower, one of my fave color combos (pink and navy) and my favorite clothing styles (peplum and pencil skirts).
I purchased these seperates from NY&Co over a year ago (I know you keep hearing that) and decided to break them out before Fall is in full swing. I chose to pair the baby pink with Navy to try to combat it being such a spring-ish ensemble.

What are your thoughts on the colors??
Would you rock this combo in Fall?

Let me know your thoughts!!!!

F2F Week: Jewel Tones

Dress| Fashion to Figure
Belt| Torrid
Jewelry| NYC Street Vendor

Good Morning Lovies!!!!
This week has been a dreary one in NY. Overcasted rainy days. Still and yet I have attempted to shift my mood with adding splashes of color to my wardrobe. Today I went with more of a pool of color versus the splash. lol
.
The Adelle Wrap Dress from Fashion To Figure .
http://www.fashiontofigure.com/catalog/new/plus-size-adelle-wrap-dress.html
The dress features a wrap front (which is great for fuller a bossom) and a tulip hem. It's jewel toned and expressively printed which compliments all skintones. Which I love!!! It's moderately priced ($42.50) which makes it affordable to all. I purchased it in a size 3X.

WIth my accessories, I chose to play up the jewel tones with adding a new tone of blue/turquoise into the mix.

Bringing In Fall with a Summer Staple

Today's Look is bought to you in part by Fashion To Figure. I bought this dress a few months ago on a whim because it was on sale for less than $20.00. It is a Summer Dress. I chose the size 3x because most of their clothing is Junior Plus Size plus I knew I would chinch the waist so it being a little bigger wouldn't be a problem.

I chose to pair it with a wide Maroon belt (from NY & CO) to bring the colors of Fall into play. I also paired it with Tan shoes from UNISA. I've had these shoes for years and have hardly worn them. But they are super comfortable.

The jewelry is a mixture of print and solid pieces from various places!!!.

My bag of course is Michael Kors and is not meant to match. I just love the bag and am carrying it until I find another that I love as much as this one.

LET'S TALK MAKEUP

TGIW: Thank God It's Woo

Today, my resident photographer (my man: lol) wasn't available to take photos of my outfit so I wasn't able to capture it for you guys, but I did however take photos of the makeup. I went a little bolder due to day of the week and the blah-ness of black and white striping (the pattern of today's dress). It maybe a little too much for some in an office environment, but it works well for me!
