 IT'S CARDIGAN SEASON!!! FINALLY!

I love fall for so many reasons. I love layering, boots, coats, hats, tights, etc. I think Fall has to be my favorite season especially coming from Miami where there is only hot and hotter. lol.

Cardigans are definitely essential pieces in a fall wardrobe. They can either be styled up or styled down.

I chose to style this over-sized cardi up with separates.

This style of cardigan also looks great with no belting and buttons opened. My personal style just usually calls for belting!

I purchased this cardigan from NY&Co. a long time ago. I searched for something similar on their site but to no avail. 

However, I did find some affordable alternatives other places.

Aren't TUNICS super fun. I like that they are totally convertible in the fact that you can wear them as a top or a dress. They are also super comfy. It's a staple in my wardrobe. 

Today, I chose to pair this Tunic with neutral tights, calve high boots, a printed scarf and a fun hat!

Skater Style Fit & Flare

Dress| Fashion To Figure (last season)

I truly believe the Skater Style or Fit & Flare dresses are my absolute favorite style of dress. They compliment almost everybody type. The make the silhouette all that more flattering. They can be worn day, night, work and play and they come in almost every fabric and color. What's not to like about them?? 

Of course, I belted mine. But because of the shape of the dress, it isn't necessary. It still creates a very flattering look with or without.

I purchased this dress last season (and yes this is the first time wearing it. Don't shoot me) but there are so many companies and brands that make similar dresses.

SWING into Fall

It's Monday again, and I thought I would get into the swing of this week with a fun swing dress. I purchased this dress last season from Fashion to Figure but never had a reason to wear it. I usually hate shift or swing dresses because they don't have a defined shape. I have very little hip action so I need clothes with darts and that are cinched to accentuate the parts that I don't have. So because of the shape of the dress, I added a wide belt. Women with fuller hips can get away with not wearing the belt. Because the dress is no longer available at Fashion to Figure, I posed a few alternatives.

I hope this Monday finds you in good spirits and in good health! I had a fairly busy weekend but I finally had a Sunday free to go to church. I put this little ensemble together at this last minute. Now the hat is a fairly old purchase. I bought it about 3 years ago on a whim. I just never got a chance to wear it.

THE DRESS:

I love Fashion to Figure (as you should know by now) and found this fabulous dress on Saturday. It comes with a patent leather skinny belt but I wanted more of a cinched waist so I opted for a wider belt.

I guess at this point it can be assumed what some of my favorite brands for clothing are. Especially for work. Today's Dress comes from none other than Fashion to Figure. I couldn't find it online but I know in store they carry it in two colors, this beautiful Peacock Teal color and traditional Black. The dress was under $40.00

My kitten heel snake patterned Raspberry pumps are from 9West. I usually purchase their shoes because they blend comfort with style and they always have my size available!!!

The style of this shoe is "Adriana". Unfortunately they no longer have it in the Raspberry color that I'm wearing but they do have them in other colors. They retail for $79.00

Today's look encompasses some of my favorite elements. My huge flower, one of my fave color combos (pink and navy) and my favorite clothing styles (peplum and pencil skirts).

I purchased these seperates from NY&Co over a year ago (I know you keep hearing that) and decided to break them out before Fall is in full swing. I chose to pair the baby pink with Navy to try to combat it being such a spring-ish ensemble.
